George Washington in Masonic regalia

This painting of George Washington in Masonic regalia has been hanging in its present location on the West wall above the Senior Warden's station since 1932.

It was given to the Lodge in February 1932 by Henry W. Watson, who was a Brother Mason, not a member of Bristol Lodge, but was a Congressman from Pennsylvania's Ninth Congressional District.

Watson was elected as a Republican to the Eight District of the Sixty-fourth Congress (1915) and served through the nine succeeding Congresses. He represented the Ninth Congressional District (which covered Bucks County at the time) from 1923 until his death in Langhorne, Pennsylvania in 1933. He is interred in the Wilmington and Brandywine Cemetery, Wilmington, Delaware.
